Setting up an After Sunday Course

We hope that the learning materials that have been produced by After Sunday can be used anywhere.  There are however a number of factors to think about when planning to adopt the After Sunday Course and its modules.

Target Audience

• Who is the target audience that you have in mind for the course?
• What is there previous experience and what learning have they done already?
• What are their aims for attending any course you offer?
• Which module would suit your target audience best?
• Could you work with other churches to enhance the group and learn about each other?

Publicity and Promotion

• How will people get to hear about the course?
• What leaflets / publicity material is required
• Who can talk about what the course aims to deliver and the benefits of it?
• How will people be invited to attend?

Group Size

• How big will the group be and is there an optimal size for the kind of activity you want to do?
• How will the group size affect the number of leaders you will need?

Resources

• What facilities will you need to accommodate the group
• What resources will you need to run the sessions - flip charts, pens, paper, course materials etc.

Who would deliver and facilitate the course

• Running After Sunday modules requires some experience of facilitating groups and familiarity with the content
• After Sunday will train facilitators and equip them to deliver modules of The After Sunday Course
• After Sunday staff could deliver in the North East.
• Is is possible to share facilitators locally?

Costs

• Facilitator training and costs for materials will need to budgeted for
• Are there any other costs associated with delivering the course?
