Aims of After Sunday

After Sunday has the following broad aims:

  1. Discerning God's activity in the world
People of faith will feel more confident in discerning and responding to God’s purpose and activities in the places where they work and live.
  2. Exploring Vocation
Individuals and Christian communities will be able to articulate their vocation and sense of mission and recognise that they share together in Christ's ministry to the world
  3. Faith in Action
People will become more confident in engaging with the world and engaging with it in partnership with God, on his agenda, and according to his Kingdom vision
  4. Church Gathered and Dispersed
The church will become more vitalised and enriched as a result of learning from the experience of everyone encountering God in daily work and life.
  5. Making Connections
Those who feel outside the church for whatever reason might be able to connect with it by feeling affirmed in their daily work and vocation in the world.
  6. Whole Life Living
People will develop a greater sense of integration in their lives as their faith, work, family and leisure interests relate together more clearly

So the task of the Church may be understood not so much as rescuing people out of the world but entering the world in order to share its life and discern God's will for it"
